What is a Beachcomber?

​

We may not need to live off what we find on the beaches of Phuket, but Phuket Beach Conservancy Beachcombers look for anything in the flotsam and jetsam that should not be there. Plastic, glass, metal, polystyrene, no matter how small we pick it up, bag it up, and, where possible, take it to be recycled.

​

By removing these items from the beaches of Phuket, particularly below the high-tide mark, we are removing them from the marine ecosystem where they can cause irreparable damage to marine life.
